Graphtec Corp has improved the total throughput time by combining the fastest feed speed with optimized 64 bit technology.

Graphtec scanners have the following two scanning mode.
(1) Scan only
(2) Scan and File

In the image processing, the scanned image is required to be edited before it is saved to the file. Graphtec scanners exhibit a faster throughput when it is used in this image processing way.

In other scanner, the “scan only” mode is not available. The editing of the image will be waiting until the scanned image data is saved.

Enhanced the color reproduction

Graphtec proprietary color matching technology enables production of images with accurate color reproduction and uniformity.

Note :

Color difference values are the evaluation of BERTL.
It has better color reproduction performance when the value is smaller number.

* Overall color is not good in other scanner. It is required the adjustment in an onerous way for matching the color.

* In the CSX series, the color can be matched by simple calibration.

Enhanced the image quality

Produces high-quality images by using a new digital processing system.

 

The RGB colorshifts that typically occur between 200 and 300 dip and greatly reduced by Graphtec newly designed digital processing system. This means that high-quality image are available at fast scanning speed.

Reduced the ghost on the image

Produces images of sharp edges by using a new digital processing system.

The blurry image is not appeared around the characters and lines. The characters and lines have always sharp edge.

Supported the Abobe® RGB compatible color space

Color space of Abobe® RGB and sRGB

Support sRGB and Abobe® RGB compatible color space for wider color reproduction. The Abobe® RGB compatible mode supports a wider color space than sRGB. It improves color reproduction of the printed document.

sRGB · · ·it is a standard color space for use on various devices such as monitor, inkjet printer, camera, and others. The hue and saturation are specified to unify the differences in color reproduction between devices.

Adobe RGB · · ·it is an RGB color space developed by Adobe Systems. It was designed to encompass most of the colors achievable on CMYK color printer. It can be represented colors on the printed document that can not be represented in the sRGB.

Enhanced the Gray Scan mode

The brightness of color on the document needs to be detected for scanning the document in the grayscale mode. Triple light source in the CIS is used to create white light for scanning in the grayscale. Cyan, magenta and yellow colors are recognized in the same level as other colors.

When the setting of the Gray balance on the software is set to the OFF, the single light (green) sourse is used for scanning the document. The detection of color brightness for green and magenta color is emphasized.

When the setting of the Gray balance on the software is set to the ON, the triple light (R, G, B) souse is used to create white light for scanning the document. The detection of color brightness for green and magenta color is not emphasized. Cyan, magenta and yellow colors are recognized in the same level as other colors.

CIS (Contact Image Sensor) method in the scanner

CCD : Magnification Optical Method

Image scanners can use one of two methods to scan documents—CIS or CCD.
Graphtec employs the leading-edge CIS method for optical systems in its scanners. Enabling extremely high-resolution and high-accuracy input with large-format scanners, the CIS (Contact Image Sensor) method is a state-of-the-art scanning technology that uses contact image sensors developed solely by Graphtec.

CCD method (optical reduction method) Light from the light source is reflected by the document’s surface. This reflected light is reflected further by a mirror, directed through a lens, and received by the CCD. Since the CCD reads light reduced by the lens, this method is called the “optical reduction method”.

CIS method (contact image sensor method) The light from the three RGB color LEDs used as light source are reflected by the document. This reflected light is received in turn by the CIS sensor, which performs the actual scanning. The LEDs, lens, and sensor are integrated into a single module. Since these components are all rods of the same length in close contact, this method is called the “contact image sensor” method. This is the method used by Graphtec. This method is ideal for markets that require precision for applications such as civil engineering survey drawings, urban planning drawings, and apparel patterns.

CSX500 series provide 1200 dpi (only the CSX550) optical resolution and 9600 dpi interpolated resolution allowing high-resolution and high-quality scanning. Further high-resolution and high-quality scanning is enhanced by Graphtec technology that improve contact between document and sensor.

No Warm-up time

The scanner is ready for scanning 10 seconds after power on, thus saving energy.

Improves your productivity when editing and managing image files

Scanning Master Pro Color software enables easy editing and management of image files. It has useful features for file management and file sharing such as image linking, auto de-skew, auto de-speckle, background color suppression, re-touching and deleting together with search function, thumbnail view and display tree of image files. It is used with GIS and CALS/EC editing applications.

Easy data correction Despeckling, deskewing, 4-point correction, and linking multiple sheets of data are just a few of the various correction functions required after scanning color or monochrome data. All are easily handled by Scanning Master Pro Color. Linking drawing Lets you link tiled data such as roads or maps. 4-point correction Automatically corrects distoreted drawings.

Scanning ART2 for Win

The Scanning ARTS2 for WIN software can easily build the large format copy system by combining the existing large-format printers and Graphtec scanners. Also, it can easily be configured the settings such as color or monochrome, document type, document size, print size, number of copies. This large size copying system can be used very conveniently just like a photocopying machine.

Three major function as the “COPY", “SCAN“ and “PRINT" can be selected in the initial screen. The menu screen is displayed for each function.

The Color Management (color matching) depends on the color profile for the printer that is provided by manufacturer.

Easy-to-understand operation at a glance

COPY mode

Simply select scanning mode, select type and size for scanning document, and select print size and scaling, then click the Copy button

The document will be digitized and then it is printed by specified printer.

SCAN mode

Simply select document type and size then click the scan button after specifying Color/B&W

Only clicking the scan button, the document can be digitized.

Even for the batch scan, scanning can be done in simple operation using the function of the automatic file name assignment.

PRINT mode

Select the file then simply click the print button.

After the file has been selected, size and other data is displayed. The document size can be freely enlarged or reduced, and a number of copies can also be specified.

Color adjustment

During copy or scan, the Scanning ARTS2 for WIN can adjust and change color.
The value for adjustment can be saved as the name of document, it can be recalled by one button.
